In Game Application Form
In Game Application Form
We require the in game application to the School of Seven Virtues before you can play a character at a 7V event. It serves a few purposes:
*Tells us what the School knows about your character; we assume they know what’s in the form and what might be public knowledge (or, in some cases, discoverable through investigation). We don’t assume the School knows everything from your character history.
*Gives us some information we want to have about each character, in an easily referenced format separate from the more free-form character history
*Gives you a chance to do some in-character writing before playing and get a better feel for your character
You do also get 1 CP for your form.
Please submit your in game application form to characterhistories@sevenvirtueslarp.com BEFORE registering for your first event. These forms do not need to be approved like character histories do, though if you put something in your form that we think would make it very unlikely that the School would have accepted you, we may ask you to revise it.
In addition to filling out this form, your character would have submitted more in-depth letters to the School, provided references, and had an interview with an alumnus/a or a teacher. You might have been recommended by someone (with or without knowing it). There are rumors that the School does do background checks on some or all prospective students, and it’s not unlikely that the School might have contacted some people who know you to ask them about you. (This does not happen in all cases, however.)
Admission decisions are said to be made by Professors and other School staff. No one seems quite clear on exactly what they look for in a student; sometimes candidates who seem eminently well-qualified are passed over for those who seem to be poor matches for the School; other times, they choose exactly who one might expect.
Important notes about the form:
*This is a completely in game form — you can lie on it. Answer the questions as your character would.
*Your answers can be any length from a couple of lines to a couple of paragraphs. Again, answer as your character would. Questions that you don’t feel apply can be answered with a simple “no.” You don’t need to turn this into an epic novel.
Everything below this line is the form itself, and may be considered an in-game document.

Greetings, and thank you once again for your resolve to apply to the School of Seven Virtues.
In addition to your other application materials and alumni interview, we ask that you answer some basic questions about yourself so that we can get a sense of who you are. Please be honest; we will share this information with no one.
