School Overview
Long ago, the Seven Heroes banished the Mahori and saved Armandy from destruction. One, the Hero of Wisdom, went on to found the School of Seven Virtues. There, those of sufficient mettle could follow the Path of Seven Virtues and unlock amazing abilities within themselves as the Seven Heroes did. For hundreds of years, the School trained Heroes and Teachers to ensure that Armandy would always have defenders against extraordinary threats.
The Virtues themselves all derive from some combination of virtue in Heart, Mind, and Body. The Virtues are:
Compassion (Heart)
Honor (Heart & Mind)
Wisdom (Mind)
Grace (Mind & Body)
Courage (Body)
Selflessness (Body & Heart)
Wholeness (Heart, Mind, & Body)
Students at the School of Seven Virtues can choose to specialize in one Virtue, or to pursue several at once. When a student has shown that they have achieved true understanding of a Virtue, the teachers at the School present them with a ring as a token of their accomplishment. The student can continue delving deeper into that Virtue, seeking Mastery of it as some few can attain, or can seek a ring in another Virtue.
The School accepts only adult students, as the training is rigorous and even dangerous. Several times a year, the School holds a Practicum — a period of a few days when the students put their skills to use in the field, lending aid wherever heroes are needed. During this time, students have the opportunity to advance in their Virtues, both through deliberate tests arranged by the teachers and through their own spontaneous acts of heroism.
Once students attain rings in their Virtues, they can tap into abilities unlocked by their Virtue and tied to their ring. Graduates of the School swear to use their skills only for the good of all. History is full of Heroes of the School of Seven Virtues. Now Armandy’s only hope is that the School can turn out true Heroes faster than it ever has before, to face the greatest challenge of the School’s history.
