Seven Virtues takes place in a high fantasy world with a setting similar to late Renaissance or early Age of Exploration Europe (see map below). The known civilized world at this point is contained on the continent of Armandy (though once there was another continent, Vahrende, that is now a wasteland). Magic is common, and sometimes strange things seep through to the mortal world from the Aether, which overlies and permeates the visible realm.
Two ethnicities of human (Vahrenden and Armandine) populate Armandy, as well as Elves, Wyr, and Changelings (though these largely remain in the Lostwood). Six nations have formed over Armandy’s long history of conflict and negotiation between its different peoples.
In the past few years, an ancient evil, the Mahori, has broken through from beyond the known world once more, and now Armandy’s greatest hope lies with the School of Seven Virtues.
